FREE Heart Surgery to the poorest babies and children in the world
Healing Little Hearts is a UK based registered children’s charity that provides FREE heart surgery (open heart surgery and interventional cardiac catheterisation) to babies and children in the developing parts of the world.
Every year more than 1 million children are born with Congenital Heart Disease worldwide. Sadly, only 10% of these children receive the life saving treatment they desperately need. The vast majority of those who do not receive the treatment live in the countries we visit.
Our primary aim is to ensure all children are given the opportunity to live the life they deserve. With your help we can make a difference.
Our medical volunteers spend many hours teaching and training the local staff at our partner hospitals to become self suffient.
Born with a hole in his heart
Evans is a 2 year old little boy from the suburbs of Nairobi, Kenya. Evans was struggling to do what normal kids do and was finding it difficult to gain weight. A simple operation to fix the hole in his heart was proving difficult as his parents were unable to afford the cost of the treatment.
Recently our medical team visited Nairobi on a camp in MP Shah Hospital and Evans received was then able to have his life saving operation.

Currently we have four corporate partners including Edith Murphy Foundation, De Montfort University, One Kind Act and Fischer Energy; as well as one unique partnership with Team1c – a group of parents in Liverpool whose children were born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).
